Maxie and Schatar here, co-founders of New Vista Studios.  We had an amazing time at Eric Ries’ inspiring Lean Startup Conference in Las Vegas. The annual gathering attracts thought leaders and sharp business minds from around the world, who come together to both share and learn practical applications of the Lean Start-Up methodologies. This year, the conference was hosted on the fantastic Zappos campus. The eCommerce pioneer, Zappos company CEO Tony Hsieh, and his team welcomed attendees with great food, fellowship, and fun.

While many might only look forward to after work activities, we found the day sessions and fireside chats to be memorable, engaging, and informative.  Eric Ries was on a panel with Tony Hsieh for an insightful discussion on company culture, entrepreneurship and innovation strategies for building, measuring, and growing businesses.  Holly Liu spoke from experience on the panel titled, “The Billion Dollar Startup: Innovation at Scale”, sharing information on company operations. SoLo founder Travis Holoway spoke on building a two-sided marketplace while sharing real data and analytics.  The video above shows footage from the first day of the conference .
